Chapter History

In February 2001, four Sorors who were general members, Barbara Thomas, Revertha Grace, Veronica Phillips, and Mildred Hightower began formulating, organizing, and discussing, the need to have chapter serve the needs of the residents in the North Broward County area. The group name was PEARLS of Distinction grew to 42 members and they continued to meet monthly at various places such as homes, clubhouses, schools, and multipurpose rooms formulating plans to provide community service. The services that they were able to provide consisted of distributing backpacks, creating Thanksgiving food baskets, hosting brain bowls, judging science fairs, donating toys to adopted families, and providing sisterly assistance to three Broward Chapters.
After several years of unwavering work with the community, a group of 32 sorors was presented for chartering June 12, 2005 in Coral Springs, FL , and given the name Chi Psi Omega. The service area consists of : Coral Springs, Tamarac, Margate, North Lauderdale, Coconut Creek and Parkland.
